Civility in Politics. This event will include a showing of the documentary film "Patriocracy" and a panel discussion. "Patriocracy" explores the extreme polarization in America that cripples the country from tackling its most serious problems. Following the film there will be a panel discussion moderated by Deborah Turner, MD, President of LWVMDM. The panelists include Scott Raecker, Republican State Representative, Jo Oldson, Democratic State Representative, Emily Grim, Drake Student and Rachel Paine-Caufield, Drake Associate Professor of Politics & International Relations. The event is free and open to the public. Popcorn and beverages will be provided. The event is cosponsored with the League of Women Voter of Metro Des Moines and the Drake Student Senate.
